ALTHA, FL - October 23, 2007 - They say a picture is worth a thousand
words. That is especially true when the picture is glazed onto a
unique gift item such as a lovely vase, a Christmas ornament, or even
a decorative photo plate. A home business called Laci-Fae
(Lacifae.com) is making memories last a lifetime through its unique
photo-glazed products.
Laci-Fae was founded by Donna Todd as a home Web business when she
became interested in the photo glazing process. Todd had a passion for
learning how the photo glazing process works after researching the
process online. She wanted to connect personally with her Web
customers and give them an opportunity to personalize their gifts for
holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
"I was really excited to be able to learn about photo glazing and how
the process works. It's the perfect business for working at home and
doing what I love," states Todd.
Todd was able to purchase her own glazing machine so she could create
personalized gift products. She bought the machine from a company in
England and was able to secure the glaze formula in the United States.
Now, she personalizes gift items such as vases, photo plates,
Christmas ornaments, and even urns for pet ashes.
Photo glazing is an amazing, time-tested process that requires a
glazing machine, precision cutting tool, a glaze warmer, and special
glaze formula. The machine contains powerful ultraviolet light that
can permanently fix chemical molecules onto a hardened polymer finish.
When done properly, the photo images come out clear and in full color
on the object.
Photo-glazed products are often purchased as gift items, keepsakes, or
home decor items. Customers are able to submit photos of their loved
one or pet digitally by email or by postal mail. All mailed photos are
returned to the customer once the photo glazing process is complete.
"For Christmas, kids like to have special ornaments that belong only
to them. Many parents order photo-glazed ornaments for each child so
they can trim the tree with their special ornaments year after year,"
says Todd.
